Former boxing champion Roy Jones Jr., admitted the he may had made the wrong decision of fighting the returning Mike Tyson.
Although their match is labelled ‘exhibition’ both fighters have been talking about going all out, just like the old times, despite the changes in their body, speed and power.
\”He\’s still Mike Tyson, he\’s still one of the strongest, most explosive people who ever touched a boxing ring.”
\”If anything, I made a mistake going in with him. He\’s the bigger guy, he\’s the explosive guy,” Jones said in an interview with SkySports.
However, promoters and organizers were quick to come in between as they clarified that both boxers must agree to the rules they set in order to keep them safe.
Tyson and Jones Jr are already past their prime and if they are going to fight like it is a real fight, it may not happen.
Promoters are reassuring that the fight will also be an exhibit of their style and talent without getting anyone hurt as they think of the age of both boxers.
They\’re about the same age. We can\’t mislead the public as to this is some kind of real fight. They can get into it a little bit, but I don\’t want people to get hurt. They know the deal,” said the California State Athletic Commission executive director Any Foster.
The clash between the 54-year old Tyson and 51-year old Jones was widely anticipated as they will see Tyson on the ring once again.
He was once called the Baddest Man on the Planet because of his domination in the heavyweight division before.
But, fans as well as the participants in the exhibition must hold their horses because it is not really a beaten-type boxing match afterall.

The MMA fighter and former UFC heavyweight champion said that AJ camp sabotaged him by letting him go early in the arena.

“We both fought at 3am. What I think, something that’s happened is that they get me to the arena very early. Like my pickup time was 10.30pm to go to the arena. And then when we get to the arena, they tell us that we are scheduled around 1.45am. right?” Ngannou blurted.
