LAS VEGAS – Hindi pinalad ang Filipino boxer na si Jeo Santisima sa kanyang laban kontra sa kampyeon na si Emmanuel Navarrete matapos matalo sa 11th round technical knockout sa MGM Grand Arena sa Las Vegas.

Sa ating panayam, inamin ni Santisima na “kulang daw siya sa tulog kaya kulang din umano sya sa lakas sa araw ng laban.”

Una rito, nagpaulan ng mga combinations ang Meksikanong si Navarrete na komonekta sa mukha ni Santisima, rason para tuluyang itigil ng referee ang laban.

Si Santisima ang ikalawang Filipinong nabiktima ni Navarrete matapos maunang talunin si Juan Miguel Elorde noong taong 2019.

Umakyat ang kartada ni Navarrete sa 31 panalo, 27 knockouts at isang talo samantalang natigil ang 16 na sunod na panalo ni Santisima sa kanyang unang laban sa US kung saan may hawak ito na 19 panalo, 16 knockouts at tatlong talo.

Dinomina ni Navarrete ang buong laban kahit inaming nasaktan ang kanyang kanang hinlalaki mula sa isang akward na suntok na kaniyang binitawan.

Ito na ang ika-limang matagumpay na pagtatangggol ni Navarrete sa kanyang 122-pounds na titulo.

Former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou accused AJ camp of ‘trickery’ when he suffered devastating knockdowns in the first and second round last March 8, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MMA fighter and former UFC heavyweight champion said that AJ camp sabotaged him by letting him go early in the arena.

“We both fought at 3am. What I think, something that’s happened is that they get me to the arena very early. Like my pickup time was 10.30pm to go to the arena. And then when we get to the arena, they tell us that we are scheduled around 1.45am. right?” Ngannou blurted.

He believed that he came exhausted, which resulted in his humiliating defeat.

Texas Department urges Mike Tyson to pass EEG, EKG tests

The 57-year old legend Mike Tyson (50 wins – 6 loss) vs 27-year old YouTuber Jake Paul (9 wins – 1 loss) must undergo major tests before the fight to materialize at AT&T Stadium in Texas Arlington on July 20, 2024.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) urged Tyson to undergo or pass a brain test Electroencephalography (EEG) and Electrocardiogram (EKG) for the heart.

“A person aged 36 or older applying for a contestant’s license must submit a report of favourable physical testing conducted within the previous 12 months, including but not limited to an EEG and an EKG.” TDLR elaborated.

Meanwhile, the American youtuber explained that he picked Tyson because he wants to change the history of boxing. He already fought Floyd Mayweather Jr but he lost.

Victor Wembanyama broke a record of 100 blocks as a rookie last January 8, 2024 in Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Cleveland, Ohio vs Cavaliers.

Spurs center and power forward Wemby has played 31 games so far and his 4th block on the said game made him the 6th player in NBA history to reach that mark in their first 35 games.

The NBA records show that Wemby (2023-24) hit Tim Duncan at the 6th place as a rookie with the most games played. Shaq had 28 and Alonzo Mourning 18 in 1992-93.

The other NBA players who also reached that 100 blocks record as rookie are Shawn Bradley (1993-94), Alonzo Mourning (1992-93), Shaquille O’Neal (1992-93) Manute Bol (1985-86), Terry Tyler (1978-79).
