Jake Paul’s rise to stardom in boxing

Jake Paul fought three times in 2021 and according to Forbes, he earned $40 million
from these victories. And he’s going for more cash this year.
But how did he do it? How did he start in boxing?
The American YouTuber rose to prominence because to his amusing drawing videos on
Vine. He rose to become one of the most influential Viners in the world, landing major
brand collaborations. The proposal, however, was abandoned in 2016.
The Disney channel provided him with one of the most significant brand deals that
turned his career around. Jake portrayed Dirk Mann in the Disney sitcom Bizaardvark.
He became well-known as a result of the show. He left the show before the start of its
second season in 2017.
He\’s known for doing the most ridiculous pranks, including getting arrested and meeting
a look-alike of Donald Trump, among other things. Now the provocateur has moved on
to boxing, garnering headlines for his continued trash-talking and pranks directed at
MMA athletes.
While Jake\’s YouTube content and fights are enjoyed by audiences all around the
world, let us take you through his life and plans to pursue a full-fledged boxing career.
The YouTube star\’s boxing career began in 2018 when he competed as an undercard in
Manchester Arena, against KSI\’s brother Deji Olatunji before Logan Paul vs KSI.
In January 2020, he made his professional boxing debut, knocking out fellow YouTuber
Ali Eson Gib in the first round in Miami.
In November 2020, he fought Nate Robinson, and in April the following year, he fought
Ben Askren. He knocked them out and came out victorious.
Jake\’s recent battle with UFC Champion Tyron Woodley was much publicized, and he
surprised everyone by winning. It brought in roughly $1 million in pay-per-view revenue
for him (RM4.15 million).
With three fights under his belt, Jake\’s ultimate ambition, according to an ESPN
interview, is to fight Conor McGregor and become the world\’s highest-paid prize fighter.

Former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou accused AJ camp of ‘trickery’ when he suffered devastating knockdowns in the first and second round last March 8, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MMA fighter and former UFC heavyweight champion said that AJ camp sabotaged him by letting him go early in the arena.

“We both fought at 3am. What I think, something that’s happened is that they get me to the arena very early. Like my pickup time was 10.30pm to go to the arena. And then when we get to the arena, they tell us that we are scheduled around 1.45am. right?” Ngannou blurted.

He believed that he came exhausted, which resulted in his humiliating defeat.

Texas Department urges Mike Tyson to pass EEG, EKG tests

The 57-year old legend Mike Tyson (50 wins – 6 loss) vs 27-year old YouTuber Jake Paul (9 wins – 1 loss) must undergo major tests before the fight to materialize at AT&T Stadium in Texas Arlington on July 20, 2024.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) urged Tyson to undergo or pass a brain test Electroencephalography (EEG) and Electrocardiogram (EKG) for the heart.

“A person aged 36 or older applying for a contestant’s license must submit a report of favourable physical testing conducted within the previous 12 months, including but not limited to an EEG and an EKG.” TDLR elaborated.

Meanwhile, the American youtuber explained that he picked Tyson because he wants to change the history of boxing. He already fought Floyd Mayweather Jr but he lost.

Victor Wembanyama broke a record of 100 blocks as a rookie last January 8, 2024 in Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Cleveland, Ohio vs Cavaliers.

Spurs center and power forward Wemby has played 31 games so far and his 4th block on the said game made him the 6th player in NBA history to reach that mark in their first 35 games.

The NBA records show that Wemby (2023-24) hit Tim Duncan at the 6th place as a rookie with the most games played. Shaq had 28 and Alonzo Mourning 18 in 1992-93.

The other NBA players who also reached that 100 blocks record as rookie are Shawn Bradley (1993-94), Alonzo Mourning (1992-93), Shaquille O’Neal (1992-93) Manute Bol (1985-86), Terry Tyler (1978-79).
