The Chicago Bulls are continuing its rebuilding process as they officially hired former Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan to call the shots for them next season.
While NBA season is likely to start in January 2021, the change made by the management has given Donovan and its new players to adjust and jell.
The Bulls failed to make the playoffs but are with promising players like Zach Lavine who has an all-star capability along with big man LauriMarkkanen.
“I’m excited to partner with Arturas as we work together on behalf of this historic franchise,” Donovan said.
Bulls was once on the top of the NBA during the time of Michael Jordan that gave the franchise six NBA championship. Hopes began to rise after the arrival of the youngest NBA MVP Derrick Rose, however, the dream was shattered due to his repeated injuries. Jimmy Butler also brought the team to the playoffs but it wasn’t long enough as he was traded for the young Zach Lavine and few more players.
Donovan has proven his worth as a tactician as he was able to put his former squad, the Thunder, to the playoffs this year despite the analytics saying that their chances was very low.
To the Bulls fans out there, what more would you like to change to the Bulls to make them an Eastern Conference contender in the succeeding years?
