The Clippers released a statement regarding the issue.

“The lawsuit filed by Johnny Wilkes is replete with inaccuracies, and the allegations are baseless. Wilkes added that he is the best friend of Leonard’s uncle Dennis Roberston whom he said will have a house in California if they make the deal happen.

However, all the allegations are based on the verbal agreement, according to Wilkes.

Leonard meanwhile denied that Wilkes was not a part of his decision making to transfer after his contract expired with the Toronto Raptors.

Currently, he is in his second year wearing the blue and white uniforms of LA.
