WBO Bantamweight champion John Riel Casimero had some words to Guillermo
Rigondeaux, two days before they enter the boxing ring.
“I know that I can make this an easy fight for myself. I want him to have some guts and
be the exciting fighter he’s shown recently,” Casimero said.
“It will be better for the fans and it will really prove who is the best.”
Rigondeaux is known for his safety-first boxing style. He don’t engaged very much
inside the ring but it has changed from his previous fights.
The new version of Rigondeaux is what Casimero is hoping to face on August 14.
“I want to show that I’m strong and can beat any tough opponent. A win over
Rigondeaux will solidify me as one of, if not the best, fighter in the bantamweight
division.”
Aside from winning the fight, Casimero also eyes it as an opportunity to finally make the
Filipino-Filipino clash between him and Nonito Donaire who he called ‘scared.’
“My goal is to take care of business on Saturday night, then go after the scared Nonito
Donaire.”
