Carmelo Anthony balik NBA na, pipirma sa Blazers sa isang ‘no-guaranteed deal’

Magkakaroon ng pangalawang tiyansa ang beteranong manlalaro na si Carmelo Anthony matapos mapabalitang pipirma siya sa Portland Trailblazers sa Western Conference ng NBA sa isang non-guaranteed deal.

Mahigit isang taon na nawala sa NBA ang 35-anyos na si Anthony matapos bitawan ng Houston Rockets noong huling season sa loob lamang ng 10 mga laro.

Ang deal kay Anthony ay maihahanlintulad sa pagkuha ulit kay Dwight Howard ng Los Angeles Lakers.

Maaring maghiwalay muli ng landas ang dalawa depende sa magiging performance ni Anthony sa koponan.

Kung sakaling mangyari ito maliit lamang ang epekto nito sa budget ng Blazers.

Isang 10-time all-star at six-time All-NBA player si Carmelo Anthony.

Kilala siya bilang isang halimaw na scorer lalo na sa poste kung kaya’t aasahan ang kaniyang produksyon para punan ang pilay na frontcourt ng Portland.

Inaabangan ng marami ang pagbabalik ni Anthony sa liga na naging kontrobersyal last season.

Former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou accused AJ camp of ‘trickery’ when he suffered devastating knockdowns in the first and second round last March 8, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MMA fighter and former UFC heavyweight champion said that AJ camp sabotaged him by letting him go early in the arena.

“We both fought at 3am. What I think, something that’s happened is that they get me to the arena very early. Like my pickup time was 10.30pm to go to the arena. And then when we get to the arena, they tell us that we are scheduled around 1.45am. right?” Ngannou blurted.

He believed that he came exhausted, which resulted in his humiliating defeat.

Texas Department urges Mike Tyson to pass EEG, EKG tests

The 57-year old legend Mike Tyson (50 wins – 6 loss) vs 27-year old YouTuber Jake Paul (9 wins – 1 loss) must undergo major tests before the fight to materialize at AT&T Stadium in Texas Arlington on July 20, 2024.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) urged Tyson to undergo or pass a brain test Electroencephalography (EEG) and Electrocardiogram (EKG) for the heart.

“A person aged 36 or older applying for a contestant’s license must submit a report of favourable physical testing conducted within the previous 12 months, including but not limited to an EEG and an EKG.” TDLR elaborated.

Meanwhile, the American youtuber explained that he picked Tyson because he wants to change the history of boxing. He already fought Floyd Mayweather Jr but he lost.

Victor Wembanyama broke a record of 100 blocks as a rookie last January 8, 2024 in Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Cleveland, Ohio vs Cavaliers.

Spurs center and power forward Wemby has played 31 games so far and his 4th block on the said game made him the 6th player in NBA history to reach that mark in their first 35 games.

The NBA records show that Wemby (2023-24) hit Tim Duncan at the 6th place as a rookie with the most games played. Shaq had 28 and Alonzo Mourning 18 in 1992-93.

The other NBA players who also reached that 100 blocks record as rookie are Shawn Bradley (1993-94), Alonzo Mourning (1992-93), Shaquille O’Neal (1992-93) Manute Bol (1985-86), Terry Tyler (1978-79).
