Team USA slowly building star-studded roster for Tokyo Olympics

The Team USA Men’s Basketball Team has always been on top in the Olympics. And
after the disappointing finish in the FIBA World Cup, they are looking to bounce back big
time and capture another gold in Tokyo.
Eight out of the 12-man roster has already been filled with the NBA already on its
conference finals, players who exited the season have expressed their commitment to
the team.
The most recent one to commit is James Harden of the Brooklyn Nets. Harden who
struggled with injury this season is looking to make it up in the USA team. Joining him
are the following; Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat, Kevin Durant of the Nets, Draymond
Green of the Golden State Warriors, Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards, Jayson
Tatum of the Boston Celtics, Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns and Damian Lillard of
the Portland Trail Blazers.
Among the names only Booker are still in the playoffs with his Suns facing the LA
Clippers in the Western Finals.
More stars are expected to join the pool for the Olympics. If healthy, the Clippers
superstar duo Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are expected to commit as well.

Francis Ngannou cries ‘deception’ vs Anthony Joshua camp

Former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou accused AJ camp of ‘trickery’ when he suffered devastating knockdowns in the first and second round last March 8, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MMA fighter and former UFC heavyweight champion said that AJ camp sabotaged him by letting him go early in the arena.

“We both fought at 3am. What I think, something that’s happened is that they get me to the arena very early. Like my pickup time was 10.30pm to go to the arena. And then when we get to the arena, they tell us that we are scheduled around 1.45am. right?” Ngannou blurted.

He believed that he came exhausted, which resulted in his humiliating defeat.

Texas Department urges Mike Tyson to pass EEG, EKG tests

The 57-year old legend Mike Tyson (50 wins – 6 loss) vs 27-year old YouTuber Jake Paul (9 wins – 1 loss) must undergo major tests before the fight to materialize at AT&T Stadium in Texas Arlington on July 20, 2024.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) urged Tyson to undergo or pass a brain test Electroencephalography (EEG) and Electrocardiogram (EKG) for the heart.

“A person aged 36 or older applying for a contestant’s license must submit a report of favourable physical testing conducted within the previous 12 months, including but not limited to an EEG and an EKG.” TDLR elaborated.

Meanwhile, the American youtuber explained that he picked Tyson because he wants to change the history of boxing. He already fought Floyd Mayweather Jr but he lost.

Victor Wembanyama hits Tim Duncan, O’ Neal records

Victor Wembanyama broke a record of 100 blocks as a rookie last January 8, 2024 in Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Cleveland, Ohio vs Cavaliers.

Spurs center and power forward Wemby has played 31 games so far and his 4th block on the said game made him the 6th player in NBA history to reach that mark in their first 35 games.

The NBA records show that Wemby (2023-24) hit Tim Duncan at the 6th place as a rookie with the most games played. Shaq had 28 and Alonzo Mourning 18 in 1992-93.

The other NBA players who also reached that 100 blocks record as rookie are Shawn Bradley (1993-94), Alonzo Mourning (1992-93), Shaquille O’Neal (1992-93) Manute Bol (1985-86), Terry Tyler (1978-79).
