Pinoy boxing champ turns \’kargador\’ as boxing suspends matches due to coronavirus

WBA Oceania featherweight title-holder Jessie Cris Rosales was forced to be a \’kargador\’ to generate income for his family in the midst of the pandemic coronavirus swallowing countries across the world.

It\’s not new to us that most of our Pinoy boxers are poor and are relying to the sports, even it is dangerous, to feed their family and in hope to change their future for the better.

However, with such circumstances wherein all sporting events were suspended, boxer like Rosales has to find alternative job and he ends up being a \’kargador\’ in Cebu.

“I didn’t have any fight offer when this broke out, so I decided to apply for work in industries that are not even related to boxing,” Rosales said in an interview.

Boxing organizations in the country are finding ways to support our boxers to survive in the crisis such as giving financial supports and foods to eat.

With the resume of sports is still unclear at the moment, Rosales will continue to work for a P400 per day job for them to stay alive.

Two-weight world Mexican champ Luis Nery (35 wins – 1 loss – 0) mocked the undefeated “Japanese monster” Naoya Inoue (26 wins – 0 loss) as ordinary and overrated hyping their fight at Tokyo Dome in Japan May 6, 2024.

31-year old Inoue will defend his undisputed super bantamweight title against Nery.

29-year-old challenger Nery has the WBC and Ring magazine bantamweight titles plus the WBC super bantamweight title from 2020 to May 2021.

On the other hand, the undisputed Inoue who holds WBA and IBF titles plus WBC and WBO belts has never lost except a decision with Filipino ‘flash’ Nonito Donaire last 2011.

Francis Ngannou cries ‘deception’ vs Anthony Joshua camp

Former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou accused AJ camp of ‘trickery’ when he suffered devastating knockdowns in the first and second round last March 8, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MMA fighter and former UFC heavyweight champion said that AJ camp sabotaged him by letting him go early in the arena.

“We both fought at 3am. What I think, something that’s happened is that they get me to the arena very early. Like my pickup time was 10.30pm to go to the arena. And then when we get to the arena, they tell us that we are scheduled around 1.45am. right?” Ngannou blurted.

He believed that he came exhausted, which resulted in his humiliating defeat.

Texas Department urges Mike Tyson to pass EEG, EKG tests

The 57-year old legend Mike Tyson (50 wins – 6 loss) vs 27-year old YouTuber Jake Paul (9 wins – 1 loss) must undergo major tests before the fight to materialize at AT&T Stadium in Texas Arlington on July 20, 2024.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) urged Tyson to undergo or pass a brain test Electroencephalography (EEG) and Electrocardiogram (EKG) for the heart.

“A person aged 36 or older applying for a contestant’s license must submit a report of favourable physical testing conducted within the previous 12 months, including but not limited to an EEG and an EKG.” TDLR elaborated.

Meanwhile, the American youtuber explained that he picked Tyson because he wants to change the history of boxing. He already fought Floyd Mayweather Jr but he lost.
