Jimuel Pacquiao wants to follow dad\’s footsteps.

Published

on

No matter how Manny Pacquiao tried, he couldn\’t get knockout the desire of his son Jimuel to do boxing.

The eight-division world champion wants to keep his son away from the sports because he knows how dangerous it is, but his passion for the sport is passed down to Jimuel, who is trying to pursue a boxing career.

\”Kung ako tatanungin mo, ayaw ko, kasi hindi ko kayang panoorin \’yung anak kong lumalaban,\” Manny said in an interview with Rappler Talk.

\”Kaya lang sa tuwing sinasabi ko sa kanya, binabalik niya, \’Daddy \’di ba, boxing is your passion? Same with me, like you, boxing is my passion also. So what are we going to do?\’ Tameme ako, hindi ako makapagsalita.\”

His son is training in the United States and is having Jonas Sultan, a former world title contender, as his sparring partner.

Will Jimuel pursue a professional career in boxing soon?

It is not very far from reality as he already made some matches back home in the Philippines. And with Pacquiao conceding on the thought of stopping his son, will he now teach the younger Pacquiao to become fantastic just like him?
