Deontay Wilder rival Tyson Fury gets depression

Published

\”Not my wife and kids. I didn\’t care. Every day I woke up, I just wanted to die. Only people who have been through depression and all that sort of stuff will understand what I\’m saying.\”

This is what Tyson Fury battled before he became a world champion. He opened it in SKYSPORTS as he remembers his past.

SkySports asked him about his upcoming challenges with Wilder and Aj. Fury is carried away by his emotion as he is in the verge of retirement after two or three fights.

\”I didn\’t want to continue, plus I was mentally unstable. Going into that fight, I was very depressed and down, and anxious. I always had that goal of beating Klitschko that kept me on the straight and narrow path, but after that goal was taken away from me, I had nothing else that I could focus on to give me that drive.

\”When I was only young, Klitschko was a world champion, so I was always looking at him and when I\’d completed it, it was game over for me.

\”It was like a total downward spiral and I didn\’t want to live anymore. I was happy to die at 27. I was happy to finish, that was it. Nothing or nobody could bring me back.

\”Not my wife and kids. I didn\’t care. Every day I woke up, I just wanted to die. Only people who have been through depression and all that sort of stuff will understand what I\’m saying.\”

In his bout with Wilder, will he manage his emotion if he lost?

Francis Ngannou cries ‘deception’ vs Anthony Joshua camp

Former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou accused AJ camp of ‘trickery’ when he suffered devastating knockdowns in the first and second round last March 8, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MMA fighter and former UFC heavyweight champion said that AJ camp sabotaged him by letting him go early in the arena.

“We both fought at 3am. What I think, something that’s happened is that they get me to the arena very early. Like my pickup time was 10.30pm to go to the arena. And then when we get to the arena, they tell us that we are scheduled around 1.45am. right?” Ngannou blurted.

He believed that he came exhausted, which resulted in his humiliating defeat.
