Danny Garcia dapat munang lampasan si El Terrible sa Jan. 25 fight bago makalaban si Pacquiao’

Ang Philadelphia native at two division world champion na si Danny “Swift” Garcia ay kabilang sa listahan ng mga susunod na makakalaban ng ating pambansang kamao, Manny Pacquiao.

Sa kasalukuyan si Garcia ay may professional record na 35 na panalo 21 dito ay KO at 2 talo.

Ang kanyang ika-38 na laban ay gaganapin sa January 25 sa Barclays Center sa Brooklyn, New York.

Makakasagupa nito si Ivan “El Terrible” Redkach na may record na 23 wins 18 dito ay knockout, 4 natalo at isang draw.

Inaasahan na magiging aktibo si Garcia ngayong 2020 dahil sa kagustuhan nitong maging world champion sa welterweight na kasulukuyang pinaghaharian nina WBC at IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr, WBO champion Terence Crawford at WBA champion Manny Pacquiao.

Ngunit bago makaharap ni Garcia ang mga kampeon, kailangan muna nito ng patunayan ang kanyang sarili sa darating na January 25.

Dahil sa mga prominenteng natalo ni Garcia, tulad nina Amir Khan, Erik Morales at Lucas Matthysse, inaasahan na matatalo nito si Redkach.

Ngunit hindi ito magiging madali para kay Garcia sapagkat, ang huling panalo ni Redkach ay TKO laban kay dating two-division champion Devon Alexander.

Ang magwawagi sa January 25 ay makakaharap ang isa sa mga kampeon para sa isang title shot.

Former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou accused AJ camp of ‘trickery’ when he suffered devastating knockdowns in the first and second round last March 8, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MMA fighter and former UFC heavyweight champion said that AJ camp sabotaged him by letting him go early in the arena.

“We both fought at 3am. What I think, something that’s happened is that they get me to the arena very early. Like my pickup time was 10.30pm to go to the arena. And then when we get to the arena, they tell us that we are scheduled around 1.45am. right?” Ngannou blurted.

He believed that he came exhausted, which resulted in his humiliating defeat.

Texas Department urges Mike Tyson to pass EEG, EKG tests

The 57-year old legend Mike Tyson (50 wins – 6 loss) vs 27-year old YouTuber Jake Paul (9 wins – 1 loss) must undergo major tests before the fight to materialize at AT&T Stadium in Texas Arlington on July 20, 2024.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) urged Tyson to undergo or pass a brain test Electroencephalography (EEG) and Electrocardiogram (EKG) for the heart.

“A person aged 36 or older applying for a contestant’s license must submit a report of favourable physical testing conducted within the previous 12 months, including but not limited to an EEG and an EKG.” TDLR elaborated.

Meanwhile, the American youtuber explained that he picked Tyson because he wants to change the history of boxing. He already fought Floyd Mayweather Jr but he lost.

Victor Wembanyama hits Tim Duncan, O’ Neal records

Victor Wembanyama broke a record of 100 blocks as a rookie last January 8, 2024 in Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Cleveland, Ohio vs Cavaliers.

Spurs center and power forward Wemby has played 31 games so far and his 4th block on the said game made him the 6th player in NBA history to reach that mark in their first 35 games.

The NBA records show that Wemby (2023-24) hit Tim Duncan at the 6th place as a rookie with the most games played. Shaq had 28 and Alonzo Mourning 18 in 1992-93.

The other NBA players who also reached that 100 blocks record as rookie are Shawn Bradley (1993-94), Alonzo Mourning (1992-93), Shaquille O’Neal (1992-93) Manute Bol (1985-86), Terry Tyler (1978-79).
