Denver sweeps Lakers, makes first NBA Finals appearance

NBA new rules about players’ rest sends stern warning to superstars after Adam SIlver drafted new restrictions, September 13, 2023.

Silver is the fifth and current commissioner of the NBA

The new rules and regulations will apply in the upcoming 2023-24 season.

The most injury-prone players according to Bleacher Report like Brandon Roy, Andrew Bynum, Andrew Bogut, Stephen Curry, Dwyane Wade, Eric Gordon, Manu Ginobili, Kyrie Irving, and even Lebron James etc are expected to adjust to the rules.

The NBA will punish the team who will violate the rules.

A $100,000 up to 1 million dollars fine for resting healthy players is the suggested punishment.

“What we’ve tried to do as the league office is work through all the different issues by recognizing genuine concern from the fans and, of course, the media that’s paying for the opportunity to broadcast those games,” Silver explained to CBS SPORTS.

“But at the same time, taking into account player health, not looking to turn the clock back, and not suggesting to any player that they should be playing when injured.” he added
