Boxing resumes on June 9 says Bob Arum

Promoters can only be held off this far by the pandemic coronavirus as Bob Arum strongly plans to stage boxing events starting June 9 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

The Legendary Promoter who had Manny Pacquiao under his card will create a five matches event. However, these boxers are only those inside the USA.

Currently, they are still waiting for the Nevada Athletics Commission for the approval while also a tighter protocols and procedures aim to protect all the essential people related to the fans. Arum clarified that there will be no fans allowed.

\”The key was getting enough testing, and we\’ve got plenty of testing in Nevada to hold our events,\” Arum said.

\”Our protocols will be much more stringent than UFC had in Florida. In ours you wouldn’t have a fighter testing positive the day of the fight or the day before,\” he added as UFC also plans to hold their fourth event in the Apex Center.

WBC, Dela Hoya warrant Ryan Garcia vs Athletic Commission

After the controversial posts of Ryan Garcia and the alleged Mental Health evaluation request of the Athletic Commision, the World Boxing Commission (WBC) assured that they are in talks with New York State Commission (NYSC) for the April 20, 2024 bout.

Ryan Garcia (24 wins 1 loss) will clash with undefeated Devin Haney (31 wins – 0 loss) in April however, Ryan faces a number of issues. Though it may be part of marketing their fight, the fans are alarmed how Garcia is behaving in social media.

Boxing Hall of Famer, Golden Boy Promotions founder Oscar Dela Hoya said that Garcia is in great spirits in the gym.

“Don’t mind the posts, that takes like five, 10 seconds of his time. He’s working hard every single minute of the day.” he exclaimed.

WBC president Mauricio Sulaimán said that the fight is not cancelled.
