ALL-FILIPINO BOUT: DONAIRE VS CASIMERO FOR UNIFICATION BOUT

Filipinos are known as great boxers with the likes of Manny Pacquiao of course and
Nonito Donaire Jr.
Donaire made himself known once again recently after capturing his old bantamweight
belt by defeating Nordine Oubaali.
Now then, the OG is about to make his defense on his belt but not just to anybody, he
will do it against his fellow kababayan John Riel Casimero.
Casimero and Donaire will clash in a unification bout in bid to fight Naoya Inoue next.
Both are eager to face Inoue as Donaire lost to him while Casimero wants to prove that
the Japanese superstar is not a “monster” as they used to call him.
But before they be able to do their things against Inoue, they will clash first inside the
boxing ring. This is a rare opportunity and many Filipinos are not happy with it because
they can’t pick who they will cheer on.
History is set to unfurl in Philippine boxing.
Out of the blue, two Filipinos are set for a bantamweight unification match as World
Boxing Council (WBC) champ Nonito Donaire crashes against World Boxing
Organization (WBO) titleist John Riel Casimero on August 14 at a site to be resolved.
Showtime will broadcast the match as the headliner of a triple header.
Donaire himself declared the news on his online media pages on Sunday, with
Casimero affirming the battle by posting two Philippine banner emoticons with an \’x\’ in
the middle on Twitter around the same time.
Casimero moreover retweeted a tweet declaring his battle against Donaire.
The 31-year-old Casimero should confront Guillermo Rigondeaux on August 14, yet the
Cuban fighter chose to give route for the all-Filipino conflict.
Apparently, Rigondeaux will confront a rival to be resolved on the Donaire-Casimero
undercard. On the off chance that Rigondeaux wins that battle, he could challenge the
champ among Donaire and Casimero.
\”The Filipino Flash\” Donaire recaptured the WBC belt subsequent to taking out French
Nordine Oubaali last month. The 38-year-old games a 41-6 success misfortune card
with 27 knockouts.
Then again, \”Quadro Alas\” Casimero last battled in September last year when he

WBC, Dela Hoya warrant Ryan Garcia vs Athletic Commission

After the controversial posts of Ryan Garcia and the alleged Mental Health evaluation request of the Athletic Commision, the World Boxing Commission (WBC) assured that they are in talks with New York State Commission (NYSC) for the April 20, 2024 bout.

Ryan Garcia (24 wins 1 loss) will clash with undefeated Devin Haney (31 wins – 0 loss) in April however, Ryan faces a number of issues. Though it may be part of marketing their fight, the fans are alarmed how Garcia is behaving in social media.

Boxing Hall of Famer, Golden Boy Promotions founder Oscar Dela Hoya said that Garcia is in great spirits in the gym.

“Don’t mind the posts, that takes like five, 10 seconds of his time. He’s working hard every single minute of the day.” he exclaimed.

WBC president Mauricio Sulaimán said that the fight is not cancelled.
