By Ponciano Melo – \”Point God\” Chris Paul reached another milestone to his already colorful NBA career after recording his 10,000 career assists, the sixth player in the history ever to make the plateau.

The Phoenix Suns All-Star did it in style after finishing with a triple-double on their win against the LeBron James-less Los Angeles Lakers.

Paul put up 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists.

Like James, 35-year old Paul defied Father\’s prime as they continue to dominate the league decades after entering.

Paul was also part of the recent All-Star team wherein he showcased his leaping ability on an alley-hoop play courtesy of Golden State Warriors All-Star Stephen Curry.

If the Wake Forest University standout remains healthy in the current season filled with injuries, he can surpass two more NBA legends, Magic Johnson and Mark Jackson.

Paul has 10,004 assists, Johnson at the fifth had 10,141, and Jackson tallied 10,334 dimes throughout his career.

Depending on how long Paul will still play in the NBA will determine if he can catch up with the all-time assist leader John Stockton with 15, 806.

But what\’s bigger than his milestone is the young Phoenix squad\’s current position, second in the Western Conference. They are on the pace of making the playoffs.
