Wilder-Fury III How will it happen?

Deontay Wilder has been chasing Tyson Fury ever since he\’s defeated in February, but the tides have changed.
However, the chances of getting the trilogy are getting slimmer now that Anthony Joshua has agreed to fight the fellow British champion once he defeated Kubrat Pulev this week.
It means that the heavyweight division is going for the undisputed champion next.
So how can Wilder come in the picture and steal Fury away?
Well, he can do nothing in particular but to hope that Joshua will be defeated by Pulev come December 12.
It is the only scenario for Wilder to make the trilogy into a reality.
Why?
Simple because if Joshua loses, he is no longer worthy of being Fury\’s opponent. He will lose his three belts making him not the ideal opponent for the WBC champion. Also, he will go.
Wilder will be the most suitable as he is the best contender available to fight Fury.
Bob Arum further elaborated on the possible situations.
\”If Pulev beats Joshua, there\’s no Joshua fight for Tyson Fury because Joshua has a rematch clause.
\”At that point, Fury is out there looking for opponents, and I\’d think the best available opponent would be Wilder.\”
The legendary promoter also added that he thinks Pulev will knock out Joshua.
\”Pulev can corner Joshua and take him out. I believe not only is Pulev going to win the fight, but he\’s going to win it by knockout.\”
All Wilder can do now is to train and watch come December 12 to see the fate of his 2021. Since February, he has been out of the ring, and he\’s not making much noise than when he was the champ and still unbeaten.
Will we see a much improve Wilder? Will he learn to box, not just to lean on his knockout power? All of these are still a mystery as Wilder also became silent on social media on his training.
Nonetheless, it will be decided on Saturday (US TIME).

Undisputed heavyweight champ Usyk gets detained

Polish airport police arrested and detained Ukrainian undisputed heavyweight champ Oleksandr Usyk in Krakow after he insisted on a Ryanair flight last September 18, 2024.

It happened when the Usyk team was denied boarding in the Polish airport. They are heading to London to watch Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois on September 21 (UK time).

Usyk’s promoter, Alex Krassyuk confirmed the incident. “While waiting for boarding, Oleksandr’s friend fell asleep on the seats in the waiting area,” Usyk promoter revealed.

The video clips went viral in social media as the 37 year old and undefeated Usyk (22 – 0) is being led away with his hands cuffed behind his back.

Warriors picks 7-footer Quinten Post

The Dutch rookie 7-footer power forward and center Quinten Post officially signed with the Golden State Warriors (GSW) last September 25, 2024 with two-way contract.

Along with fellow 7-footer NBA players Boban Marjanović of the Houston Rockets, Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs, Zach Edey of the Memphis Grizzlies, and Bol Bol of the Phoenix Suns, the 24-year old Post will soon clash with the tallest players in the NBA.

Post is a 2024 NBA draft and 52nd pick, however Warriors get him ahead of training camp.

He came from the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Boston College Eagle during his college years.

He is averaging 15.1 points in 2022-2023 and 17.0 points in 2023-2024.

He will wear number 21 but as of this writing it’s uncertain when he will show off with Stephen Curry and other Warriors superstars. But Post is officially a Warriors.

Giannis Antetokounmpo fails in Olympics 2024

Despite the 34 points per single game, Giannis Antetokounmpo of team Greece failed against Stephen Curry (team U.S.A.) who got 36 points in men’s basketball Olympics 2024 in Paris.

“I’ve waited. I have wanted to be on this stage for a long time but I wasn’t fortunate enough,” Giannis admitted.

Giannis, a Milwaukee Bucks power forward and center, recalled that Greek basketball took 16 years to be in the Olympics. “In 16 years, I will be 45 years old.
