The NBA is planning to start the new season on December 22 says sources.

The league aims to speed up the upcoming season to give a way for athletes to prepare for the Tokyo Olympics.

Coronavirus had disorganized the NBA’s regular schedule; thus, shortening next season with 72 games will help them open 2021-2022 with the usual 82 games in October.

Sacrificing several games is the best solution for distortion.

This is nothing new to the league.

In 2012, a lockout happened, making the season cut games to finish on time.

If pushed through, teams who made it in the Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat will have lesser time to prepare.

A more challenging season is ahead for the defending champion Lakers.

Also in the plan was the games to be held in each teams’ respective arenas.

It is the first move before allowing fans to attend.

Games had been different without the sixth man, but they have to endure a little longer for the upcoming season’s success.

The plan will also speed up the courtship in the free agency market. The days to come will put the management on a busy schedule in luring potential fit to them.

Playing in the Holidays is also being talked about.

This will help the league to generate more viewership and resurrect the hype of basketball.

Francis Ngannou cries ‘deception’ vs Anthony Joshua camp

Former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou accused AJ camp of ‘trickery’ when he suffered devastating knockdowns in the first and second round last March 8, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The MMA fighter and former UFC heavyweight champion said that AJ camp sabotaged him by letting him go early in the arena.

“We both fought at 3am. What I think, something that’s happened is that they get me to the arena very early. Like my pickup time was 10.30pm to go to the arena. And then when we get to the arena, they tell us that we are scheduled around 1.45am. right?” Ngannou blurted.

He believed that he came exhausted, which resulted in his humiliating defeat.

Texas Department urges Mike Tyson to pass EEG, EKG tests

The 57-year old legend Mike Tyson (50 wins – 6 loss) vs 27-year old YouTuber Jake Paul (9 wins – 1 loss) must undergo major tests before the fight to materialize at AT&T Stadium in Texas Arlington on July 20, 2024.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) urged Tyson to undergo or pass a brain test Electroencephalography (EEG) and Electrocardiogram (EKG) for the heart.

“A person aged 36 or older applying for a contestant’s license must submit a report of favourable physical testing conducted within the previous 12 months, including but not limited to an EEG and an EKG.” TDLR elaborated.

Meanwhile, the American youtuber explained that he picked Tyson because he wants to change the history of boxing. He already fought Floyd Mayweather Jr but he lost.

Victor Wembanyama hits Tim Duncan, O’ Neal records

Victor Wembanyama broke a record of 100 blocks as a rookie last January 8, 2024 in Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Cleveland, Ohio vs Cavaliers.

Spurs center and power forward Wemby has played 31 games so far and his 4th block on the said game made him the 6th player in NBA history to reach that mark in their first 35 games.

The NBA records show that Wemby (2023-24) hit Tim Duncan at the 6th place as a rookie with the most games played. Shaq had 28 and Alonzo Mourning 18 in 1992-93.

The other NBA players who also reached that 100 blocks record as rookie are Shawn Bradley (1993-94), Alonzo Mourning (1992-93), Shaquille O’Neal (1992-93) Manute Bol (1985-86), Terry Tyler (1978-79).
